Chestnut Crabapple

chestnut crabappleLarge, russeted crabapple with a rich, nutty flavor. Best for fresh eating or sauce. The fruit stores for 4 to 5 weeks. Ripens early to mid September.

 

 

Cortland

cortlandAll-purpose apples.  Since their flesh is slow to brown after it's cut, Cortland apples are especially good in salads.  If substituting another variety in a salad, dip it in acidulated water first to keep it from darkening.  Ripens early October.

frostbite A unique novelty apple for a special niche. It is extremely cold hardy, small in size, unusual in appearance, and very sweet. People either love or dislike Frostbite. It is great for cider or people with a real sweet tooth. Ripens early October.


 Haralson

haralson1Firm texture with a complex tart flavor. Good for fresh eating and cooking. Especially good pie apple. The fruit will store for 4 to 5 months. Ripens early October.

 

 

Honeycrisp

220px Honeycrisp Apple copy Large, dappled red fruit with a well-balanced flavor, outstanding crispness and juiciness. Best for fresh eating and salads as the flesh is slow to brown. Tree has low to medium vigor and excellent scab resistance. Fruit will easily store 7 or more months. Ripens late September.

SweeTango1Juicy and sweet with hints of fall spices. This apple's flavor, balanced by vibrant acidity, dances to a long and satisfying finish on the palate. It also inherited the crisp texture of Honeycrisp and juiciness of Zestar.  Ripens late August.

Zestar Has a sprightly sweet-tart taste with a hint of brown sugar. And, unlike other early season apples that are often soft or mealy, Zestar is juicy with a light, crisp texture.  Zestars maintain their great taste and crunch for 2 months in refrigeration.  Ripens late August.
